Hancock Hall in Danbury, Branford Hills Health Care Center, Greentree Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, Apple Rehab Watertown, the Bridgeport Health Care Center and Rosegarden Health and Rehabilitation Center have all been cited, according to a ctpost.com report released on Monday in coordination with the Connecticut Health I-Team, a nonprofit news organization dedicated to health reporting.

The report states that each of the listed nursing homes was fined differing amounts of money for their treatment of patients, including the death of one who died last year in connection to complications from a head injury after falling out of a lift while fighting with nurse aides.

Other reported incidents include a patient that broke a bone in his back falling out of a recliner, overdoses of medicine, failing to administer CPR in a timely fashion, mishandling suicidal patients, a skull fracture and other maladies.
